Jaine has been selected to attend the 2014 PostScript & Direct, which is a Film Victoria special initiative at the Melbourne International Film Festival’s 37ºSouth Market. The event matches emerging writers with established producers from around Australia and New Zealand.
Today Jaine was the proud recipient of the Phyllis Ashworth Bursary, awarded to her at the Graduate Women Victora scholarship awards ceremony.
As part of today's pitching seminar, run by Hollywood script consultant Kathie Fong Yoneda and screenwriting guru Dr. Craig Batty, Jaine participated in a pitch slam contest. And she won! Speaking before a panel of judges that included Seph McKenna (Head of Australian Production, Village Roadshow), David Redmond from Instinct Entertainment, Ahren Morris from Snowgum Films, and Nadia Tass from Cascade Films, not to mention a crowd of other writers and filmmakers, this is quite an achievement.
